If you’ve only ever heard mezcal described as "smoky tequila," allow us to introduce you to its true, vibrant soul. Because mezcal isn't just a spirit; it's a sacred tradition, a taste of wild earth, and a direct line to the heart of rural Mexico.

Each bottle in our collection begins with the agave plant, but not just any agave. We seek out spirits made from a diverse range of species, from the dependable Espadín to the rare, wild-harvested Tobalá, each with its own unique personality. These agaves are slow-roasted for days in hand-dug earthen pits, crushed by a massive stone wheel called a tahona, fermented with nothing but wild, airborne yeasts, and distilled by hand in small copper stills. This is not a process that can be rushed.

This ancient craft is in the hands of Maestros Mezcaleros, master distillers, who have inherited their knowledge through generations. The producers we champion are small, family-run palenques where every step is guided by intuition, tradition, and a deep respect for the land. That's why every bottle here tastes different. Some are bright with citrus and green peppers; others are deep with notes of tropical fruit, clay, and sweet, fragrant smoke.
