Some Champagnes celebrate a single year. Krug celebrates an ideal.
A Symphony in a Bottle
The Grande Cuvée is not a vintage wine but a masterpiece of blending. Each year, the house composes a new blend from a vast library of reserve wines to recreate the dream of its founder: a Champagne of breathtaking richness and complexity. This 171st edition is a blend of 131 wines from 12 different vintages.
The result is a wine that glows in the glass. Layers of toasted brioche, roasted nuts, and honeyed citrus unfold across a palate of incredible depth. The bubbles are impossibly fine, creating a texture that is both opulent and wonderfully fresh. It concludes with a finish that simply echoes with complexity.
How to Enjoy
This is a wine that transcends simple pairings. It is as magnificent with a piece of hand-cracked Parmigiano-Reggiano as it is with roasted chicken or even a side of truffle fries. Krug Grande Cuvée doesn't just mark a celebration; it becomes one.
