A departure from the expected, this is Riesling with a Piedmontese soul.
A Dream in Barolo Country
In 1985, long before it was fashionable, Aldo Vajra planted a handful of Riesling vines high in the Langhe hills, chasing a dream. Decades later, that dream is alive in this bottle. The 2023 vintage is like a breath of crisp mountain air: zesty lime peel, white peach, and jasmine unfold over a sleek, stony backbone that whispers of the limestone soils beneath.
Made with the same meticulous touch the Vajra family brings to their world-famous Barolos, this is Riesling reimagined. It is not German or Alsatian, but purely Italian. It is a little off the map, in the best way possible.
How to Enjoy
Its electric acidity and bright fruit make it a wonderful aperitif or a partner to prosciutto and melon, fresh cheeses, or light pasta dishes.
